While in Falmouth, Cornwall, last week I discovered a shop called "Imagedelivery" run by a man called Andrew Campbell. He specialises in printing large photo images of both his own and customers' photos and has the equipment needed. He can also print very long images. Of course he can post the large images to customers in cardboard tubes.
He has a great collection of images on his web site, especially of old ships (Falmouth connection) and the like. It's worth looking at the site just for the lovely images. The site also gives prices for printing. He seems very flexible and willing to produce whatever sort of printed output the customer wants.

I once worked on the PR for Ellenroad with an old BBC man who knew about images and he called the big ones Sucker Size. He was right, nowt like a big image of a good pic.
