I am having trouble accessing the site, sometimes I cannot get on at all (page unavailable), sometimes it goes so slow it times out, and yet at other times it can be fine. Is it my provider, Orange, or is it the site? Is anyone else finding this happening?

Jules, try the new Google browser or Firefox - both good. I've used Firefox for a couple of years and with that and Macafee I've not had any nasties near my PC. Nolic

Jules, I agree with Nolic. Download Firefox and make it your default browser. It's totally reliable, easy to install and updates itself automatically. It's also free! despite my recent glitch with McAfee I still trust it and rely on it totally. I have ditched all the other spyware progs. I don't know anything about Opera but what I do know is that if you are not using it and it's possible to delete the programme this is a good thing to do. Do it via settings>control panel>remove software. The little buggers have minds of their own and need to be rendered impotent!

Hmmm. Will have a word in my daughter's shell-like. I think she recommended Opera - security wise it is good. It is my browser of choice and we have very few problems with viruses - except from that which has given me a sore throat etc.

I think I should add that for different reasons (historical) I was using microsoft's whatsit and I just changed and put Oneguy into Opera. It does seem to have settled down now. End of worry. (for me anyway)

I am having problems accessing the Pendle Ley lines thread.  Where the author's name should be is an error message, which is in fact a short cut to his profile.  It seems to be OK for others.   It is the same on two different computers. Is it because I am not on a Ley Line?

I am experience loss of signal strength lately.  I rang Virgin but they say it looks OK from their end.  The past few days it goes off and Firefox says it cannot access what ever site I am on.  Also it keeps trying to access btopenworld and a thing comes up showing me prices for that,.  I am considering looking  at Sky.  When we moved here we went to cable because BT said we were too far from the exchange - we are only on the outskirts of Burnley near Harle Syke.

The Pendle Ley Lines thread looks OK to me now and I posted the last message just before midday....but then I live only a few miles from Glastonbury Tor, our village has a church called St Michaels and we are not far from where King Alfred burnt the cakes! (Where ley lines the early version of broadband?)

Sorry to hear of all the troubles. I can't make any valid suggestions. All I can say is that all is fine on this connection. (Orange). If I was still on Windows I'd be checking my settings and perhaps doing a full virus scan and one for Adware of course. The advert for BT Openworld looks suspicious to me, sounds as though a cookie is running it. Delete all cookies and see if it makes any difference.

Why not try downloading them direct from your hard drive to the site? No probs that way.

Having a nose around flickr, there doesn't appear to be an easy way to get an image URL out of Flickr now.  It's probably so you have view the pictures on Flickr and not post them on other sites.  There is a very small version in the page source which works. Other than that its hidden in Javascript.

Use different hosting or upload them to OGFB directly as Stanley suggests.

I have gained access to the Ley Lines thread by means of using the Firefox browser, which works OK.   I am obviousy too uneducated to appreciate the thread or know why it wouldn't work with Explorer.Smile
