As there are a number of artists among our midst, I thought I would start a topic for watercolour painting.

Here's one I'd love as a Rob watercolour. Stopping Bancroft engine for the last time in 1978. It's a commission Rob!

I joined a new watercolour class today . I was thrown in at the deep end and out of my comfort zone. I had to draw alittle boy on a beach and then paint it in not quite 2 hours. Not my best painting but I am quite pleased with it. It was good to try something very different Sue

Good for you Sue I'm sure. Is it my imagination or have we lost a bunch of posts here?

Could be... I occasionally get confused. (Wipes dribble off chin and wonders where he put his coffee.....) (is that the right spelling for occasionally?) (Is it Thursday?)

It was there Sue. Must have been undergoing approval or sommat. Tip, if copying the URL on the submit page doesn't work. Go to new pictures, click for bigger version, right click for properties and copy the www. URL that is at the top. Then paste into topic in the usual way.

Same here Sue but occasionally it doesn't work. The new picture route is more reliable. By the way, I like the pic, you protest too much!

Thank you Stanley. I must admit the wave looks quite effective from a distance. The beach is disappointing but I ran out of time. I think the right leg of the boy needs abit more shading and the ankles a bit more high lighting.
