New title to cheer us all up!

Seasonal adjustment 'cause Belle said so. All complaints to her!

Title edited for Pluggy. All complaints to him!

Fish and chips lunch, then walked for miles along Ynyslas beach on a warm and sunny afternoon with my grandaughter.

Re-run of yesterday but slighltly more wind from the East. That's the enemy as far as temperatures are concerned at this time of the year.

We are still on our houseboat holiday. Cold, foggy mornings (and it doesn't help when hubby absent- mindedly leaves the double glass doors open in our bedroom and merely pulls the curtains shut...had cold toes this morning!). But it soon clears and we have lovely sunny days. We are all relaxing after a late dinner (my turn to cook and I did a roast). Let's see...we have two in the jacuzzi....one reading a book on her bed...one out on the back deck fishing (big catch earlier had everyone running for cameras)...Febby has finally found a TV that works (reception dreadful on the river) and I am sprawled across the bed because if I put the laptop as far to the right as possible I can JUST get internet!

That is what it was like here yesterday moh. The weather front seems to be coming over from France. Today is a little warmer but still a cold wind and only intermittant sun . Good weather for gardening . I have finished my list of jobs now. I have split the strawberries and given them a dose of dried manure ( you can buy it in the supermarket as Cheval fumé), planted over 100 potatoes and 100 onions and two rows each of carrots, beetroot and small turnips. I have left space for the beans and leeks that are germinating at home. They didn't quite get there in time to be brought over here for planting

The asparagus I grew from seed at home and planted out here last year seems to have survived the winter and already there are some nice fat shoots. I have to leave the plants for two years before I can pick the spears. We had the first of the rhubarb yesterday , also grown from seed at home, and last years chard has started shooting again . Spring really is on its way, at least it is here.

 Sue

Maz I am green with jealousy, I cannot remember ever being able to have the luxury of a holiday where i could sprawl on a bed and read a book........sometimes wonder how I managed to get it so wrong!

Lovely day here, strong sun but still that nagging east wind.

Maybe your NEXT holiday will be 'the one' where you can sprawl about, Belle.
Delegate!
Another morning of heavy fog (and it was less than 5 degrees C) this morning and the fog didn't lift until nearly 10am. Beautiful day though. Son's girlfriend is on lunch duty and Stepson is doing dinner so I can sprawl about all day.
(don't worry, I have definately done my bit this week...)

Quite dark still, the Clouds do have a strange tint to them, must be the Volcanic Dust from Iceland !!! That must be a first for the weather report !!!

The only holiday I get Maz, is a working holiday, two weeks on my feet from dawn to dusk, it is a time when I usually work harder than any other, I always come back thinner and fitter but totally exhausted, last year I had back and leg problems afterwards, and I still haven't got them sorted, so it is looking like that kind of "holiday" is coming to an end. I do get the occassional weekend away to visit friends, that is great, but not the kind of occassion where you lie about reading as there is so much catching up to do ...don't feel too sorry for me though , when all the rest of them are off out, I do get a bit of time to do reading etc, it's just that on a holiday it would be guilt free!
