Anyone remember the Driver Family, in particular  Lawrence Driver who was born 1921 on Mostyn Ave in Earby but family home was Rostle Top.  Seven brothers and sisters. Brothers were Ossie, Percy, Bill, Frank.  Sisters Evelyn, Phyllis and Lucy.  Was policeman  in Ripon after serving in Karachi, then India.   Mom Chrissy and Dad Tom.  Played on cricket team.     Emigrated to Canada 1947 or therabouts.

I was reviewing this topic and Ted's mention of an earthquake around 1900 rang a bell. I searched in the index and the CH shed co's minute books but can't find anything definite. However, I have a memory of reading a report on a quake which triggered the insurance companies requiring additional bands on many chineys in the area. (No fracking involved!)
