I was up later last night and the gusts of wind (yeah! yeah!)were extremely strong, that could account for the sudden loss of leaves Stanley...black sky here this morning.

We had a gusty wind as well Belle plus heavy showers. Glass risen to just over 29" and it's cold outside. I'd say about 8C. Heating kicking in but at the moment it's dry. I can smell a frost coming on if wind drops.

It got down to 6C here yesterday with lashing sleet showers that became continuous after about 4.30. I was waiting for a dry moment that never came to feed & put rugs on the ponies, so Col & I made a dash to bring them in from the field. Big Mistake. Within seconds of leaving the shelter of the buildings it was impossible to see, and my jeans were soaked through with icy water which was running down into my wellies. The ungrateful ponies didn't thank us.

Hard Luck Wendy! They were probably laughing at you. No frost but cold and a few rain spots when Jack had his early morning pee. Glass at just over 29.3" First frost not too far away. Padded shirt under Barbour.....

Slightly cool here, with (hopefully) some short, light showers. Have fertilized the lawns, so a bit 'o rain would go down a treat. Have planted my hanging baskets and weeded the garden too, so now I get to sit back and watch Spring work it's magic.

Have some of ours Maz! Rained yesterday, raining this morning. Glass at 29" but they promise sunny spells this afternoon. No sign of frost and Butts Beck is running a banker. Sounds like same weather as yours Moh.

Well darn sarf on the Med here we had the Big Storms on Friday. Swept away the remains of a long hot summer. As I went to bed last night outside temp. was 9.5 C; whicj is what you would expect in mid winter. This morning it has got up to 11 so far, but a bitterly cold North wind (The Tramontana) is blowing off the Balkans. Tomorrow should get more or less back to normal.
In any case we are not allowed legally to put on heating until December15th. unless the temperature drops to below 5C.
cheers,
cloggy

We are now about normal for the time of year, wet and breezy, though still mild..last weeks switchback ride where we went from 80o F to 40o F in the space of 48 hours was a bit too much for me!

Good job we don't have the central heating rules here. Very blustery - is it the end of another hurricane?

Cannot see the weather yet but I can hear the wind. Blustery doesn't describe the sounds really. Forecast is wind at 27kph. Wish they would use mph as that is the unit we still use for speed.

Cloggy, who sets the rules?
Moh, I think so, blustery here as well and guess what, it's raining! Butts was running a banker yesterday and it will be higher today. Glass steady at 29" so no change in prospect for next few days. Jules, I love lying in bed and listening to the wind.....
