Moh, I always remember the first time we went to Anglesey for a holiday at a farm at Caemas Bay. As soon as we got on the island and my dad saw all the trees bent over in one direction he said "Oh Christ!" with deep feeling. He din't like cold winds.....

Wendy, missed the eye. Very April-like yesterday. Glass has risen to 29.5" Bit dull at the moment but dry.

They forecast showers but it ewas OK in Barlick. Glass has dropped to 28.9", another low coming in. Perhaps more rain today?

It's raining down here at the moment and it looks like we have had a fair bit during the night. The ground is still bone dry though - no need for wellies on dog walks yet! Cold too though imindoors reckons I'm feeling the cold more because I am carrying less blubber

That can't be bad Mel. Not blubber, an organ of the body essential to the immune system! Be positive! High cloud and two dry walks but heavy rain in the afternoon out of the NW. Glass is rising, 29.2" and dull but dry.

Later after a walk round Barlick. "Turned out nice again!"  Wet and windy, n ot a good day for drying clothes outside or the Aurora!  A good writing day I think. Jack has been rubbed down, the pate on toast is ready and the coffee has just brewed. It's hard Jim Lad I tell ye!

Yes it dried fine - I have another load but it can wait until the weather improves - quite dull and windy here with the occasional shower - feels cold too.

Same here Moh. It improved in the afternoon and some bedding was out in a stiff breeze. Glass has dropped back this morning to 28.9" and it's drizzling from low heavy cloud. Looks like a rerun of yesterday.

Bank Holiday forecast is miserable and not much improvement until mid week. However, the Met Office forecast a very strong High Pressure system that they reckon will be very stable and produce some summer weather.  Good news for us but bad news for those areas short of water. So cold and miserable yesterday I gave Letcliffe a miss and had a second cold, wet walk through Valley Gardens. One thing about it, Jack is clean and shiny! Two baths yesterday!

Yes it's been a complete wash out over here too, but I think this is often the way with this bank holiday...I remember the camp out we used to go when the children were tiny, one of them caught pneumonia at this time of year.

Snap. I lit the fire in the front room on Monday, last night I sat in a padded shirt! I could have turned the heating up of course but left it on the same setting it has been on all winter. The thermometer said it was 18C but I still felt a chill. I think it must be either the humidity or psychological. Miserable weather and I pity anyone who set off with kids. Not a lot different today but perhaps a clearer sky.

Just struck me that last night's chilliness could be something to do with getting fed up with my hair nattering me and having a haircut, by that I mean taking the lot off! Not good timing!
