I have been an avid Model Maker since I was Seven Years Old. Having always been interested in how things are made, how they work, and why. It is in some way inherited from ancestors who working at the forefront of technology made Models to prove theory. It all began for me with the arrival at Christmas 1945 of my first Meccano set, progressed through building and flying model aircraft, model ships, fine scale model locomotives and all that belongs to that particular hobby, right on up to building "Ships in Bottles" This one went from hobby to scource of income and became "Clipper Craft" described by the owner of the "Best of British" outlet in Wndsor, as the Antiques of Tommorow. I read all of the best books on the subject and then being as I am, applied modern Technology and skills to the product. At this time of year when outdoor activities take a back seat it is good to have a hobby, and if any of you are interested in having a go at "Ships in Bottles" then I will gladly run a series on how to go about it. It is not rocket science but just requires a few basic tools and materials, reasonable eyesight with or without glasses a fair degree of patience and the desire to create something that is beautiful and interesting

I've got too many hobbies already Thomo, but I'm sure there are people out there who would enjoy making ships in bottles if somebody like yourself showed them how!
