As there are a number of artists among our midst, I thought I would start a topic for watercolour painting.

Nice paintings Blokeman! Sue, i have two good drawing books that i can recommend !
Firstly .
The Complete Drawing and Painting Course,  Edited by Sean Connolly which covers everything! also The Fundementals  of Drawing Still Life, Barrington Barber. These i find are very helpful to me and good to follow. They are both paper backs but large , so arent that dear. both very good teaching books i think!

That was Fluts who was talking to you sue, not me...sorry to hear your a bit weepy, putting the brush down might help! (well, such an awkward way to paint!...I suppose you had to look in a mirror!)

I was waiting for someone to mention that novel approach to Art, maybe major works of Art. I  mean we buy our Christmas cards from the Mouth and Foot Painting Society!!!! so why not....

We've had elaphant dung and used underwear winning the Turner prize and exhibiting at the tate...in fact one year it was dirty nappies...which as I had two children under two did not seem like art to me.... so why not have your contribution?

The books have come Fluts, they look good. Both the ones I have are by Barrington Barber. Now my afternoon is sorted

I have spent the afternoon touching up my picture from last Mondays Art class.I have almost  repainted the whole thing. I washed the original off and used the remaining outlines and colours to build it up again.
It still lacks something I would be grateful for any suggestions. At the moment it is drying so I will scan it and put it online tomorrow
