As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Who is running the life class Conty? It may just be the introduction week that you have to do these type of exercises, in my experience Life drawing classes are about drawing the model in front of you, though I have been to one which had an introduction week like you describe. it was meant to loosen us up and to some degree worked for me, as I had been doing life drawing for about 8 years but it just confused the beginnners. When you get down to doing 3 minute poses you will need the speed and confidence which some of the exercises above may be designed to give you.

its in school but weston collage/uni are running the classes. theres only 3 classes. i'll let you know how today goes, hopefully it will be better this week. i did do a very quick sketch at the start, but i was looking at the model, something i wasnt supposed to do. i was supposed to look at her then draw her without looking back at her and then again with our eyes shut, so i dont know what they are trying to get out of us, well apart from very bad drawings of the poor woman. i dont feel a live model was needed for that excerise. if thats what it was... im unsure

Re Life classes. Go with the flow Conor and take out anything that interests you. Not long to go now!
The prints are hung. I can see them as I sit at the computer or in my armchair reading. Good eye candy!

ESP is cheaper that 'phone calls! I was thinking about you this morning as I made a slight adjustment to how the Ribbon Prints are hanging, the strings have settled down now. They are still very easy on my eye and doing their job well. Nowt wrong with bread and butter Conor. Just make sure you leave space for little things like A levels and enjoying yourself! The work looks good, standards are not slipping! Give my love to the management.

Lovely dog, you have the expression perfect, I bet the owners are pleased with that.

The Stephen Fry picture is emerging beautifully, you need to photograph each stage, then you can sell those to him to at a later date!
