Tommy's text is in the last stages. I finished indexing yesterday and now it's a careful read through and format, insert any pics of my own I can to illustrate the texts, do the title pages and contents followed by the covers and then burn a CD for Tommy to have a good look at. Not long now Tommy! By the way, set in 12pt TNR it's running at about 200 pages, a substantial book.

Young Benfield will be watching for the postman. I finished his publishing files today and they should be with him tomorrow. He's got some careful reading to do.

Good lad Colly! I often wonder what happened to Tommy and his book. No doubt it will surface on of these days.

Hi Stanley, a question for you. I'me writing my new book on the office word file that you sent me for my first book. This time there are page numbers on it. These numbers weren't there before, i put my own numbers on. I would just like to know if these pre written numbers will appear on the print ready file when i upload my book, or should i put my own numbers on like before?

If you edit the numbering it will cancel any previous numbering protocols. Mind you, Word and numbering aren't the easiest of bedfellows!

I don't find WORd numbers too bad provided you have checked section breAKS AND ENSURED YOUR NUMBERS (OOPS! caps lock) continue as you want the m to after a section break. ie continue from previous section or new numbering after section break.
If you keep searching you'll find it |
