BBC World Service is wonderful. They cover stories that don't get into the domestic news. If you can stand your heart strings being tugged, have a look at this link about babies stolen at birth. Far more important than endless arguments about Ponzi schemes.

Stanley, what a sad article, but needing to be aired in public.I do hope at least some of these people canfind the children stolen from them.
Nolic, I don't know whether to wish you good luck with the job or happy retirement! So I will wish you both.

According to The British Geological Survey an earth tremor occurred in the early hours of this morning (3.34 am BST) on the Fylde Coast. It measured 2.3 on the RS scale - Magnitude 2.3 and its epi-centre was 4km north of Blackpool. The tremor was also felt in Preston and Blackburn.

I know that the "NORBRECK HYDRO" might LOOK like a Nuclear Power Station , but I'm pretty sure that the good people of Cleveleys, and it's environs, can be assured that there is not really much risk of higher radiation levels than usual !
Having said that , Sellafield is not actually that far away...........(approx. 40 miles , in a direct line)

Thanks for the wishes, first interview in 6 months of applications. All of which have been for jobs that I am fully qualified for one way or the other, but obviously not in the eyes of the shortlisters. Interview not for a couple of weeks yet, time will tell.

Anyone driving or walking along Kelbrook Rd and going over the old railway bridge will possibly have seen the sign there, it points to a website that is well worth a look and is of predominantly local interest:
www.selrap.org.uk the site concerns the move to re-open the Colne Skipton railway, it also lists all the interested parties from MEPs to Faith organisations, have a look.

Faith is what they are going to need.....and lots of it.
I seem to remember passing along the road through Kelbrook and Earby, a good number of years ago, and the driver of the car said that there was to be a by-pass built from the end of the M65? to join the A65 somewhere near Elslack, bypassing Colne, Kelbrook, Earby and Thornton.
Granted I do not pass through that way very often, but as yet I have not seen any sign of it.
So which one will you get .....?
