Yesterday I stumbled across the broughton Family tree on your site. I am the grandaughter of William Broughton born Aug 6 1895, West Hartlepool. He grew up believing Geroge Royal was his natural father until he was an adult. He assumed teh name Royal although I do not believe there was ever a legal adoption.
His mother Honora had been in service at the time he was conceived to my understanding. I can provide you with information on the next 4 generations if you are interested. William Royal (Broughton) was very involved in the community of St. Vital in Winnipeg Maintoba. Their 3 children are all still alive. My father was the oldest and only son, will be 89 this year. He cpi;d tell you many stories if there is any interest.
