New title to cheer us all up!

Seasonal adjustment 'cause Belle said so. All complaints to her!

No snow in Barlick, just a hard frost. Glass has dropped another 1/2" after remaining steady all day yesterday. Still not clear if and when we'll have any snow. At the moment sky is crystal clear.

10" of the White Stuff with some drifting. Roads are all but at a stand still.

Not the best weather today, cold, dull and rainy this morning, bright this afternoon but will a cold wind.  Best thing about today is that it is Friday!!!

We've been told to expect 31C for Christmas Day.

Can we come for Christmas Lunch Cathy??  Very cold here but lovely and clear with dry roads.  Typically the gritter has just been in our close - it will all have been blown into the side by the cars before any snow comes.

5am this morning and we have snow.  Glass still falling, down at 28.5" on Stormy. Strange because I understood this was a Scandinavian high ruling the weather pattern. Whatever... I know two grandchildren flying in from Oz on Monday who will be ecstatic to see this pic. Nice to know it suits someone! Notice the thermometer in the pic. It's accurate and showing 24F in the back yard which is always warmer than the general temperature.

Sounds lovely Cathy, but hard to imagine in these temps. About 3 inches here, it began about 11pm and by 33.30pm there was a good covering.  It is bright and sunny now, so no doubt it will be freezing. The grit the lorry put down did no good at all - the road was too dry.

Glass has risen slightly from 28.5", sky clearing and it's colder now in the backyard than it was at 5am this morning. It's going to be a cracker of a frost!

Best described as a windy day here, with occasional short showers.
My neighbours have obviously gone away (either that or they are deaf!) as the wind is blowing an empty drink can around and around on the paved area of their back yard. It is driving us insane. How to annoy your neighbours eh?

Off to catch up with Cazza this afternoon.

Maz, you'd love this morning! Thermometer in back yard reads 20F and this is always warmer than in the open. I reckon somewhere round -10C not counting wind chill. No more snow, the major falls appear to be in the south. Noticeable in all the news coverage that all that 90% of the coverage was of the south, no mention hardly of conditions anywhere else. It would appear that the rest of the country was quietly getting on with life while the chattering classes were telling each other how terrible it is. Glass is rising very slowly, not enough to mean anything, still on 28.7", very low. The forecast looks stable for the NW, hard frost, clear sky and perhaps an occasional snow flurry. Things could be worse and Janet may get to Derbyshire with no fuss given care, Shortest day on Tuesday Moh? Have I got that right?
