Whilst Snuffling around for the location of Bank House I came across this time warp.  Looks like Google went down Skipton Road in April 2009 and Coates Lane in October 2009.

It is sometimes a bit odd using Google maps. I came across something that I thought was most peculiar earlier today. I was looking at a road, in "satelitte mod", and in the garden of the house was looking at there wa a red van. I switched to "street view" and it had gone. It took me a moment or two to realise why.

Every silver lining has a cloud.

It's nice to have pictures of my work in situ - I do the posters for Rolls-Royce Leisure Association functions and there two of them are, slap bang in the middle of the shot!

Hi, Pluggy.  Only till recent I took advantage of the Google maps and a street tour of Barlick thanks to you and the photos you sent me of Queen Street.  It is amazing!  I mentioned attending St Joseph's Catholic School, near Gisburn Rd in the early 1950's.  I'm trying to get in touch with them for copy of 1953 class photo, one which I've misplaced, if that is possible.

I use it all the time, very useful when a customer wants a housecall and I can't quite remember where XXX street is.

It was your posters changing colour that alerted me Calluna, then I notcied one shot had leaves on the ground and hedgerows were a different colour......

The thing that struck me was the spelling of the 'Coats Lane' sign. It's spelt correctly 'Coates' on the street map.
