Funnily enough I got a message from Amazon telling me that my copy of the book on Rough Lee Hall would be delayed. It's that long since I ordered it I'd forgotten all about it!

Do you think that they charge for them, then try to source them? Wouldn't be easy putting a price on something that way.

I think I'd be inclined to give them a call. I've just had a nosy around amazons site and I get the impression that you will not be charged for the book until it is dispatched. Are they basing the price on the original book price?

In The Lancashire Witch Conspiracy by John A Clayton under the Nutter Family (proposed), Richard Nutter married by 1581 to Alice Whitaker (executed 1612). If I am breaching copyright by adding this, I apologise and will remove it.

No breach there Glo..... Reasonable quotations are OK especially when they flag up a publication, in this case John Clayton's book 'The Lancashire Witch Conspiracy' a dense read but enormous amounts of information in it from someone who has worked hard on the subject for a long time.

Wll done Julie. It's a hard read because of the amount of info but entirely new and reliable research. John has been absent for a while because he's been doing a qualification with Oxford University. I think he's finished it now. We need him back!

I went down that route Julie, they never had the book. I think they take the order then source the book. I am pretty sure I got mine eventually from John, but I could stand corrected------age It is a mine of info, you will enjoy it.

Julie if you have a problem getting the book from Amazon contact the Pendle Heritage Centre in Barrowford they always seem to have a stock of John's books.
