New topic intended for posting examples of all artwork.  Please post your pics here, even the ones that are in other topics.  It makes it easier for everyone to find the wonderful stuff you have already posted.

Nice one Tom, looks like we have copied the same photo...

Go for it Sue, I am really pleased with my latest painting of Queen St, and the buildings were probably the simplest that I have attempted so far.

You are all quite splendid, I forgit to say how much I like the pic you posted Sue, lovely painting.  I judge paintings by asking myself how long I could sit looking at them.....

Sue,iam not suprised that you can sell your paintings, they're fantastic and it's time to go it alone, step out of the comfort zone,Stanleys quite right in my opinion, you judge a painting by the amount of time you look at it,ive spent a long time admiring your work...

Rob ,yours is better than mine,it is the same picture, your detailing is far better than mine,i always want to finish them before ive started...

Thank you both for your comments. I must admit i now feel that I have skills under my belt as they say, that I can apply out of context, and I often add odd bits and pieces to my paintings that are not in the instruction that I am given, eg the cottage in my most recent oil painting

I just need alittle push to get going. I have a good friend who is an amateur artist, and we meet about once a week to  jst do arty things. She is pushing me beyond my comfort zone as you say, but I still feel the need for input from others.

Interesting subject is that , Sue, are you going to paint it in Watercolour?
How about posting as you proceed with it then we can see how it is coming along...
My project for today is to paint Ellenroad Mill at Newhey, I have a few photos, my idea is to get more of a landscape effect with the mill appearing in the middle distance, so not too much detail on the building, and a backdrop of the Pennines.

Too late , I have done it already. Just scanning it.  Iam pleased with it as a first attempt and yes it is watercolour. I may try oils another time

This picture is sadly in need of a title. At the moment it is TRACKS IN THE SNOW but any other suggestions would be welcome. Once again I have lost the edges as the picture is bigger than my scanner bed

Yes it is watercolour. Again done in my Monday evening class, a similar scene to the one I  sold ( shown here earlier this week) but in different colours. At first I thought the sky was a strange colour, but then saw the same thing tonight about  5.00pm. Oh yes I see some of the tracks in the filed on the right are not visible on this scan
