It looks to be brightening up. I may get a walk in after work at 7. Try out my hiking poles...

A chilly morning had me searching for thicker socks. Had to raid Febby's drawer in the end. The sun did put in appearance this afternoon, and I found the warmest place to be a patch of sunshine just inside my open front door...which was a tad inconvenient, as it was not within reach of anything I had to do, though I made frequent visits to warm my bones.
We are still doing our evening walks, though nowadays it is pitch black and freezing cold, despite jacket and scarf. Still a pleasant half hour, spent chatting as we walk...and reaching to steady each other on our treacherous pavements...which are up and down and all over the place...one of us will come a cropper at some point.

Hello Glo! Nice to see you about. Closer to heaven in Barlick, Glass rising thank God, 28.7" this morning and it isn't raining. My mate Martha tells me she went to a wedding in Minnesota yesterday and it was 110F and high humidity. We often follow their weather about seven days later.

Just back from our walk. Pleasantly warm, we have lost the north wind and the cloud has occasional breaks. Things could be a lot worse!

Same here Stanley. Could be a lot worse.
I seem to have a lot of clothes on, having donned a 'cardi' as an extra layer to sit at the computer in, as I always get cold when sat still. But I am sitting in a bit of a wind tunnel, in direct line of the front and back doors which are both open. I have my doors open no matter the weather...love fresh air.
Washing drying nicely on the line, thanks to a burst of sunshine in the last hour or so.

Maz, the house has been cool for the last two days. 19C and I had to put a pullover on last night. Same this morning so I've put me vest on! Glass has risen to 29" so we might be heading for a slight improvement but it's still overcast and trying to rain.

Not a bad day here. Spent some time rescuing two beautiful stained glass windows (dinky dye ones) from a house marked for demolition. It was a tough job, with Febby cursing and swearing throughout and not at all impressed when he stabbed himself on a rusty nail. ( I did suggest a Tetanus shot, but I cannot repeat what he said).
Not sure what to do with them yet. They would look wonderful in a skylight.
Just couldn't let those beauties get destroyed by the crusher...
(no problems with permission as we recently bought the dump with demolition in mind)

Oh...and I thought of Belle today.
The old house (it really IS disgusting, and it STINKS too) is empty but I found an entire drawer full of kitchen gadgets! I left them for the crusher...
