Hi, I am hoping to try and trace any members of the Cunnington family from Barnoldswick. Don't know to much about them.
My Father was Clifford Cunnington and his parents were Charles and Mary Cunnington nee Smithson. They died around the 1920's/early 30's.
Am sure that there are still members of the family there. Would be great to hear if anyone knows anything as would love to be able to try anf trace my granparents graves

Thanks

Welcome to the site. Sorry no trace of Cunnington in my index, must have been relatively late-comers to the town.

Have you searched the site Dodie? If you put the name in the turbo search box on the home page it comes up with a picture. Double click on the pic to get a full size one and a Jack Cunnington is named as one of a pantomime cast.
The other references all relate to the Broughton family, and it looks as if an Eliza Cunnington fron Nottingham was a lodger with a Nancy Broughton in one of the census returns ( I think 1881 but not sure without going back to check)

Hello Wendy, the photo was of  a fancy dress event at the then new civic hall on station road Barlick,
It was a fundraising "Do" for Barnoldswick park rovers football team, sometime in the seventies. The young Jack Cunnington is just on the right of Napoleon, dressed in what looks like a beau brummel
costume
