As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Connor if you need a chaperone I am sure you will have plenty of candidates from here, and they pay their own travelling expenses.
Who will own the drawings ???
ps I would also seek the girls parents permission, Dad may be 6ft 6" and 16 stone  or 2m and 100kg which ever.

i will keep that in mind swifty, you want some of some ladys...ok

but with Johnny Depp living so close to me i had to paint him, i wouldnt mind doing a good one of him at some point, more like the Will Smith that i done

i really need to draw my girlfriend, ive drew so many girls and not  one of her, i think shes due, her dad keeps asking me to do one, so i guess i ought to, arghhh not enough hours in a day!!

ok im off to see
ive looked but cant find it, maybe tom will post it here for us to see if doesnt mind.

Conor,I agree with Nolic, think the young ladies have an more than your artistic skills in mind, wise choice would be to draw the lady in your life,it stops you getting nagged, then you will have no distractions, happy days.

Conor, I think the lads are right about the life drawings and you made a wise decision. The problem I see isn't with the actual process of doing the drawing or what is going on inside the participant's heads. Comrade Nolic put his finger on it with his list of questions. It's the dirty little minds of the people who, if they knew about it, would immediately put two and two together and make five. Once that toothpaste is squeezed out of the tube it can never be put back.

I don't see your current knicker pics as life drawings or tittilating, they aren't, they are abstract in that they are conveying a mood, a sensation and it doesn't matter whether they are from life or out of your imagination. Their main quality for me, apart from the technical excellence, is that they invite the viewer to participate. There is no sense in my mind of them being private drawings, they are asking the viewer to think and use their imagination. I like images that do that for you, that invite you to make up your own scenario. Think of the effect of an open door in an image, you know nothing about what is through the door but it becomes part of the overall 'message' of the image simply because it's an unknown and gives you scope to imagine. Is there a watcher? Is it a metaphor for escape or an invitation to enter? I'm sure you know what I mean.

Sorry, I've gone on but I love the pics, I could sit and look at them for hours and to me that's a good test of an image.

thanks mate, you get it!....! thats exactly what ive been trying to get over in the drawings, i want the veiwer to feel comfortable, not to feel they are veiwing something smutty or that they are veiwing something that they shouldnt.
i am so happy someone gets it, really gets it. its not easy trying to draw the subject that i want to, to convey what i want, without everyone jumping to the wrong conclustion straight away.

I am not going to add anything after this post, but I am surprised that so many "artists" and creative people on here are confusing life drawing with smut. Genuine art is about the way the artist sees the world, life drawing is a very serious discipline, it should be preceded by study of anatomy, and is about putting muscle over bone, then flesh over muscles inorder to portray figures accurately, you cannot lay cothes accurately on someone if you don't know what the anatomy is doing underneath. Drawings that depict some of the things Tom mentioned may be about the artist expressing their inadequacies, and certainly they did not "tittilate" the viewer. All of this is a long way off from producing work that is designed to tittilate, that falls into a different catagory from art, and from the responses on here it is easy to see which is which.
