I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

H is right, damaging winds yesterday.  Branches in full leaf, many of them quite large, torn out of trees in the town centre (the old sidings).  Cold this morning, less wind but not summer weather.  Four weeks to the longest day.......

By the way, one effect of the cold winds has been that BJ has a bit of cold in his eyes.  I'm dropping antiseptic eye drops in to them.  Worth checking......

Windy here today. A lot of rain yesterday and I think we will have the same today. Typical having just had the dog scalped. Ah well, he needed it.

Saturday nights storm fetched a tree or two down in the lane near our house. We drove home back to Stoke yesterday through some extremely heavy rain around the Limousin region. Best trip time ever though - door to door (800 miles) in 14½ hours. We managed to catch an earlier train (eurotunnel) than the one we booked so no waiting around there.
Oilcan, we were talking to a man at the tunnel who takes his dog to France regularly. He said the vets check in France for the return journey was easy peasy. Wormed and ticked and ready for home.

PS, BJ and I are just back from our morning inspection and that wind was nasty, lots of greenery and some quite large branches down in Valley gardens.  Never noticed it here in East Hill Street, the advantages of good double glazing and the TV on I suppose.....

Agree with you about the wind Comrade. It bites.

Misty says speaking dog will do her just fine . No need to learn any languages as lonng as I get my food, walks and hugs - in that order please. Nolic

It's darker here now than it was half an hour ago.  Less wind but more cloud.  Rain in the offing?  Glass isn't really falling, just dithering.

Despite the promise of a nice day, it's raining here and has been for quite a while by the look of it.

Same here and quite cold - back to jumpers.  Put the heating on last night for an hour.

Cold and sort of wet here but no real amount of rain.  Council came in yesterday and felled the badly damaged tree on the old sidings.  They have cleared the rest of the rubbish up today.  Quick work. and tidy.
