Questions about this subject keep cropping up amid closely related topics, so I thought it may be a good idea to expand on the subject. I will not go on about my qualifications to discuss Canal Boats so lets just give it a go and see what transpires.

Are there any boats that can run on solar panels?
looking at the length of the boats on the pictures there would be plenty of space to put panels on the roof.

That applies to me too then although we bought ours for France as the house is quite rural and thr driveway is a boneshaker and sometimes difficult to get up in bad weather.
We don't use it much over here.
