Glass dropped back to 29" during the night. Heavy rain with a light westerly breeze at the moment. Not cold.

Shopping forecast tells the story. Some very big winds about and I think we shall see some even inland today.

Windy , lots of misplaced vowels , and anything else that is not bolted down is in next doors alleyways ( whom forgot Tuesdays bin day is not until Tomorrow at least) , floating carrier bags rise [ what number on the beaufort scale is that ] .

Rain had gone by 08:00 and we had a dry walk up to Lercliffe in rising wind. After that it was breezy even in the town. I thought about Wendy and Doc, the wind doubled in strengrth even on the moderate climb to Letcliffe.
This morning glass is just over 29", less wind but raining at the moment. The forecast is for a long spell of westerly weather with strong winds, well into the New Year.
Moh, dyslexia rules....... Shopping forecast this morning has gales in all areas apart from the most southerly.

It was wild for most of the day yesterday, but at least it stayed dry! We measured a gust of 53 mph in the early evening, but not sure how accurate the little aneno......measuring thingy...is. Wet & windy this morning.

You should have been with me and Jack this morning Cathy. It stopped raining and dawn came a little bit earlier. Windy, clouds scudding across the sky but not raining!

Remains blustery , the now emptied wheelie bins lying prone along the back alleyways like drunken best friends after a night out.

No Letcliffe yesterday, wet and windy with short sharp showers. Glass steady at 29.1". I suspect the promise of westerly gales until well into the New Year is probably accurate. Never mind, better than frost and snow!
