No takers as yet

I'll give you a clue for the first stage to get you going

In the URL where it says "level1" replace it with "youranswer" and press enter

I REALLY wish I hadn't found this.
I can tell you the answer to level 6 if you want - I just worked it out. Or I could give you a clue?  Concentrate on the word in the italics and think about what it sounds like.

I can't get started at all . I click on begin - get the rules, and then don't seem to be able to go anywhere else.

Is it because I use explorer?

FMK

Count your garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall.
Count your days by the golden hours, don't remember clouds at all.
Count your life by smiles, not tears, and with joy on every birthday.
Count your age by friends, not years.

I'm with you Kat. Comfortably stuck on level two, with a growing inferiority complex.

Level 2:
"pronounced as one letter, written with three".
So work your way through the alphabet, thinking about what word each letter might sound like. When you get to the right one, you'll realise the alternative word has 3 letters.  The other parts of teh clue will all fall into place then.
If you're really stuck after that, I can pm you the answer.

Wendy - if you're stil stuck at level 7 the clue's in the tab at the top "look very closely...".
I found the easiest way to do that was to highlight the picture, right-click and save it as a jpg file. Then open teh new saved picture and zoom in (a lot). It actually says what the answer is.

General tips:
Quite a few of the levels have hidden text so it always pays to do  print preview.
Some of the pages benefit from copying and pasting into notepad so that's always worth a try.
Always check out the tab at the top - hover the mouse over it, there's sometimes a clue. Also maybe a tab at the bottom sometimes.

At level 67 now & I've cheated twice and googled the answer. On each occasion I still couldn't fathom where the answer fit even when I knew what it was!

Level 67 !!!!! a genius amongst us! Well done. Steady on though Port, it is the convention to give hints to stuff like this not give the answer away.
A couple more tips that can be helpful. View the source code of the riddle page via the view menu. This will show the raw HTML of the page and may show hidden text or clues. CTRL+A is also handy this will select all on the page and again might show hints. Onward and upward, good luck.
