I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Cloud and mizzle with a rising glass.  Miserable and dull.  Summer?

It's not great up here, but it isn't cold at the present.

It's not cold here either.  It's very peculiar weather.  A settled high pressure system with cloud.  We need some wind to get things moving......  I may regret having said that.

We have had quite a strong SW wind without let up for the last few days, it must be passing high over Barlick.

Windy here but not blowing the mizzle away - just said to hubby it is like one long winter.  Was warmer and sunnier in February.

Wind here is west veering NW and it's just bringing in more cloud and mizzle.  I was told the sun shone in Skipton at 9am this morning......

Why does our weather station STILL say sun and clouds when the latter hasn't been seen for days, and we have had so much drizzle we can hardly see the top of the hills around. If this is what they mean by a SETTLED WEATHER PATTERN they can keep it!!!!

Jack and I have made our morning inspection of the town.  Not raining, very close and definitely growy.  We can moan about the weather but the trees, grass and plants are loving it.  The herbs in my front garden are flourishing to the point where they could be described as rampant!  So, sunny weather it ain't but as far as the plants are concerned it's a good summer......

I agree, my back garden is abit like a tropican rainforest except there are no flowers on my hydrangeas and my mint does not look too happy.

Plants are growing like mad here too. We had to make three trips to the dump yesterday to get rid of woody stuff that's neither compostable nor suitable for the log burner. The eating apples are as big as Bramleys this year.
