tom there aint any snow below the tower and the kettles always on standbyWink ,,,,so if the wife kisses the dog and puts you out on her return from work land down,,ha ha tea and biscuits all round beltin....is there any climbing going on in the recent weather,,

If there is Swifty I feel sorry for them. I suppose if it was a safety matter they would have to go up. Robert tells me he has reduced the old stack at Pately Bridge near the prefabs, dropped the stone into the flue and capped it. We'd had one go at making the banding safe but it had reached the stage where a proper refurb would have been too expensive.

it aint stopped the boys on blackpool tower scaffolding away and its cold there went this morning and it was like the top of a victoria sandwhich dusting of fluff not real snow like  we have in bacup ,,,,Wink swaped the arm today on the high reach and now its an unstopable digging machine ,ready to shape blackpool,,,,,,,,

I had a mate in California who had his own big Cat bulldozer and specialised in creating terraces on hillsides for housing developers. Every morning when he went out to work his wife used to say"Off to rape another poor defenceless hiilside then!"

bob i dont know but could find out  this week for you ,,,,they are blasting and re painting the owd girl they are using water to get back to steel before repainting in red oxide  ,,,, the crows nest at the top is scaffolded out and could hear a little grinder on friday ,,,,. also dont know if youve seen it tom but the little stack on the winter gardens is scaffolded out its only about twenty foot higher than the building  stanley dont know that man i worked for dale hughes once demo from over shaw
