Don't worry Stanley I saw on breakfast T V Godron has sent our congratulations to Kate Winslett, so all is well. I love a man who gets his priorities right.

Stanley are you advocating all these things didn't need radical change ??    " unions, the mines, steel, ship-building, the railways and smoke stack industry in geeneral "
The financial crisi has been brought on by the banks and slack regulation, but it was the people who borrowed what they couldn't afford that are the real culprits !!!!!!!!!!!!

Frank, some people borrowed too much, but then human beings are gullible by nature. I despair of them, but it's no use blaming them for taking advantage of what was shoved down their throats by the banks. The banks were operating like drug pushers, sending offers of thousands of pounds to students, the poor, even children. They were doing it also to people who were already far into debt which they couldn't pay off. It's been an obscene episode and the bankers should be ashamed of themselves.

Comrade, I've no doubt that the young lady from Corpus Christie is one of the most knowledgeable ever on UC but she does appear to have a very unfortunate habit of turning to her  team mates for adulation each time she gets a correct answer.
I suspect its that which has wound a few people up - including me.
I admire people who handle their knowldege and superior wisdom in a  slightly more modest way - like what I do.

Frank, they needed change and investment but not destroying. My point is that the only way we'll make the money to get out of this hole will be by adding value, not shuffling paper and gambling like a bunch of spivs. Thatcher and the Mad Monk actually believed that we didn't need manufacturing industry.

I heard Godron jumping on the Slumdog bandwagon. They think that we can't see past them. All he was doing was trying to associate himself with something successful even though he had no part in it. Then he went on to say that we were brilliant at so many things that we would survive the recession/depression. Makes you want to lie down in a dark room.....

Did you see that Mandy has had to withdraw from any action on LDV bevause the Russian oligarch who owns it is the one who gave him the freebie holiday when he was EU commissioner..... Murky.

Loved Digby Jones telling the truth to the Parl. Committee.

Hated Mandy saying a third of the PO will be sold off and implying that the £6billion hole in the pension fund was at risk if there were objections from the unions. Blackmail or what? 140 Labour MPs have signed a letter against it but Godron can probably rely on the tories and libs to vote for it. What a way to run our affairs, why bother with elections?

You're right, Stanley - scare tactics. I'm still waiting for some extra bright lad to point out where the nation and/or individuals have vastly benefited from privatisation.

Forgot to mention, large numbers assembling in Newark Cattle Market this morning, presumably to march in support of the protestors at Staythorpe. Godron's `British Jobs for British Workers' will still come to haunt him.

Funny thing Ted. I was thinking while walking (and not falling over!) and I was racking my brains to try to remember anything Mandy has ever done that was altruistic or worked. He even cocked up getting a home loan. Is it just me or are others repulsed by this apology for a politician? You don't get people on side by threatening them and who allowed the the pension fund to rack up an eight or nine million quid deficit (That's right, PO CE allowed this to slip out today, no doubt to massage the insecurity because he wants the takeover to go through)

Well!  Love Miss Trimble or hate her, she certainly delivered the goods for Corpus Christi College last night. From the start it was clear that the malevolent and unwarranted comments made about her on the "net" must have hurt, very subdued she watched the rivals take and increase the lead. However, no fear, at the end she delivered a performance the like of which footballers get payed in telephone numbers and took Corpus Christi onto the winners podium. "Well done girl".

Stanley...I entirely agree with you ...I like to think that I'm a  reasonably good judge of character, and for me , there has always been something DEEPLY wrong with Mandy.

You got the same impression about that CREEP who was Maggies sidekick (bugger.... I've forgotten his name.......you know the one who had a child by Sarah Keays)...and what a SH*TE he turned out to be.

...........PARKINSON.......got it!.......

You've only got to watch that slimy, over confident , condicending  manner in which they speak to know they are not to be trusted.

It's insulting........ That they even think that they are fooling anyone.

And yet ......... Mandy seems to shrug off one "crime " after another , and get reappointed to cabinet each time...

How many resignations does it  actually take to get  properly DISGRACED  ?....It's outrageous.

Has he got some sort of hold over our so called Leaders ?........ It makes you wonder ..eh.

Very few would dissent from your view on Mandy, Stanley. It would be nice to see what the state of the pension fund was before such high paid wizz kids as Leighton and Crossier were put into run the organisation, and what on earth have the trustees been doing to let it get in that state in any case.

The trustees don't have any money Ted !!!

All the Public Sector is the same, no money in the pot to pay current or future pensions They are as guilty as the bankers.

Parkinson, now you have got me going. A dishonourable man. To the best of my knowledge the gagging order on Sarah Keyes is still in force. How the hell can something like that be legal. Did you ever read Margaret Cook's memoir about the wee ginger man's peccadillos?  Brilliant!

"The wee Ginger man"    Mmmmm  !

Another candidate for  "pr**k of the decade/century"......surely.

I still can't  understand  how that Slob Prescott  could get away with smacking  somebody in the face ( ON TELE !), and yet he kept  his job as Deputy PRIME MINISTER. ...... (if it had been anyone else, they would have been banged up for assault.)

But it's OK folks ....Archer's still doing "good works" !

OOO... I AM CROSS....
