I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Lousy weather up Letcliffe.  Cold, wind rain, thoroughly miserable.  Bodes ill for the weekend.

We have low to high 20's forecast for Easter, blue skies and cool breezes, heating up next week (but not to heat-wave temps ... phew!)
It's lovely here, and such a relief.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE   ya-hoo

Glad you're having nice weather at last Cath.  Last night at 23:00 i was laid in bed with Jack cuddled up against me under the duvet listening to the strong north wind slamming heavy cold rain against the window.  Really nasty weather.  The flags are dry at the moment and the wind has eased but we will get more wind later and though the night with bursts of heavy rain/snow forecast for the next 36 hours.  I listened to a historian of weather on the radio last night and he said that statistically it was more likely to snow at Easter than Christmas and by an odd coincidence, this cold easter is the 25th, 50th and 100th anniversary of similar cold Easters.  Big problem is of course that Easter this year is about as early as it can get.  Perhaps it's time we did away with the Golden Numbers in the Book of Common Prayer and set Easter permanently in mid April.  The church has a lot to answer for!

It is a North Wind, woke this morning to see a covering of Snow on top of the car. Have to go and see to the Tin Tent today off tomorrow morning for a few days.  Have to agree with Stanley  Easter needs to be fixed in the calendar, and stop all this mumbo jumbo about full moons etc.

Happy Easter to Everyone

I know you are hardy Frank but put the thermals on and carry a shovel and a bottle of good single malt.....  Happy Easter!

We were informed yesterday that our very recent heat-wave (lasting 15 days) was a one in 3000 year event.
I guess we can breathe relatively easy for a while ... Wink

Stanley,  with all the refurbishments your home has recently gone thru, I would just snuggle down under those covers and feel very confident that everything will be absolutely fine.  Enjoy!

Any pics? (just can't get enough of that white powdery stuff)
Easter weekend set to be perfect here. We have spent several hours in gentle sunshine romping about with my son's 8 week old pup. I couldn't help thinking how perfect the weather was. We don't get too many days like this . Absolute GOLD. (course the soft, cute puppy had me in heaven anyway)
Please note the pup is not mine!
I am just a doting 'granny'.!

The clear blue sky did not last long - now cloudy and that wind is biting - wonder what happened to the caravan rally we were going to have at Easter - perhaps it is a good job we did not go ahead with it.

Crikey did the weather change! Grey and black sky, gale force winds, horizontal icy cold rain. Cromer, Sheringham and Kelling. Castle Acre on the way back.
