Hi to all

I would be interested in any info on the Waterworth/Starkie families from Barnoldswick, in particular, JOHN T WATERWORTH b 1860 who married NANCY STARKIE b 1860 in Barnoldswick.  Nancy's parents were HENRY STARKIE and NANCY HARTLEY, they were married 1840 Barnoldswick.  I would love to know who JOHN's parents were then I could hopefully tie them in with my line of Waterworths from Barnoldswick.

Pauline, I can't help you with specific Starkie info, but I can tell you i had an ancestor that appeared in all the census but didn't seem to have been born or died, turned out she was registered for both those events under a different Christian name, hope that helps.

I once met Roger Frost at Catlow. He showed me an old black and white photo of a house just opposite the picnic site, close to the ford over the lane. I think the house used to serve teas back in the 1960s. Interesting chap to talk to.
