Nice to see your spirits are lifting with the first heady promise of Spring. It won't be long until you can all throw open the doors and windows and have a big Spring Clean to get rid of the bed bugs.

Same report as yesterday from Barlick. Cold and dry but no frost, or if there is a touch it's only mild. The glass is still high and rock steady, this and better will do. Each day the sun is noticeably stronger, you can feel it on your back.

Just back from the morning inspection tour of Barlick. I saw Snowdrops at Rochdale on Sunday and this morning the Crocus Fairy had been on the old sidings. Yesterday there were only green spears, this morning there are banks of Crocus, they have all burst forth at once. Nice crisp morning with clear sky and sunshine.

Beautiful here too, but we did have frost - the car windscreen was frozen.

Lovely day here too.I was out in the garden just after 7am. Went for a long walk mid-morning. Had doors and windows open all day.

Agreed with all above, though I think Frank is a bit previous to talk about bedding plants. However, we have had a severe winter, must be the first time in over 50 years that I have lost the vast majority of my autumn sown broad beans.

I suppose it's OK buying bedding plants if you have a heated greenhouse. Was lovely this morning but has clouded in now.

Bedding plants round here are a waste of time until the second week in June. Nice sunny day mostly, still cold but there is some heat in that sun now when you're out of the wind.
