I always thought that Stanley was a bit deep.

Bugger!

Seriously folks, Doc and I have often discussed how long it would be before someone realised how successful the site is in terms of hits per day. I suppose this is a natural consequence. Back-handed compliment actually. I'll mail the link to Doc, he'll catch up when he swims back doen the Nile after running out of money at Luxor.

.com instead of .co.uk    Cheeky buggars!

Surely they can't take our hits as their own as part of their advertising etc.

Is this as a result of the lingerie discussion with Conty?

I doubt it Belle. Just someone trawling the site rankings, finding a popular name and hijacking it for their own use. Not unknown on the net.

Cathy , they won't take our hits exactly but if somone is searching for us and just googles one guy it will come up, or if someone thinks it is .com and not .co.uk

Is it coincidence that the number of posts seemed to have declined sharply since this was revealed?  I hope so!   Can anything be done about it?  I doubt it.

Anyone looking for us and getting on there who forgets us wasn't serious in the first place. Number of posts always fluctuates gently. I know it's bad news for us old faithfuls but our page hits while posting are only a tiny fraction of the total confirmed page views and that's the parameter that decides whether the name is attractive.

I don't know how reliable this is, but I looked on "whois" and they say registered on 22/Dec 2009 to a Mr Ho Nim of Shanghai China.  Tel 86 13671755742  email  hominsiho@gmail.com, and is due to expire on 22/Dec/2010.  I checked the email account and was shown to be in Mountain View California.  Welcome to globalisation!   I guess the only way is to buy the domain name from him. I also guess he/she  knows that.   I have never done such a search before.  Pluggy will be more expert in these matters.
