The small conical emitters are being installed on the lamp posts in Skipton Road. No news from Mrs Trelliss. Only good thing is that Turkey foil is on sale in the Cathedral of Chice. Bit thicker than usual brand. Good for lining beanies to block the transmissions.

Gosh is it that time again - hope we have more sightings this year and no snow to block the transmissions.

Yes Cath but cones are up on lamp posts. Christmas goods in COC, the sales campaign has started and the hanging baskets are still blooming!

The council fairies are out to sprikle spend dust in your eyes, along with the retail elves who drop their opiates into your sleeping mouths as you sit before the tv in an evening. Oh i fear we shall all be lost, and can I really keep the Lidel chocolate santas from following me back home and residing briefly in my already full cupboards before slipping absent mindedly into our mouths in the hungry season between programmes, so that replacing them becomes a long and expensive chore to add to my list!?

Belle, sounds like you need to call on the Christmas Genie.

Belle's right, even the non-Xmas goods are sending us a subliminal message. I fancy she's as impervious to it as I am.

If I had anything to do with it, I'd outlaw Christmas marketing before December.......

Dream on Kids! We can no more stop the people trying to make us consume than sweep water uphill. Our best defence is personal choice. Feel sorry for those who fall for the con-trick but avoid it yourselves. The thing that always strikes me is how cold-blooded the campaign is. For months now children have been targetted with adverts for playthings, stoking up pester-power. The large tins of Quality Street etc have been stacked up for six weeks now. Ideal for the market, long shelf-life and saleable any time of the year. This is why the major retailers tend to hold back on Xmas cards and wrapping paper, they automatically become unsaleable in January.
No word from Mrs Trelliss. Vague report of a man in a monk's habit seen in Addingham but no indication who it was. For the moment we would probably be most effective by concentrating on the emitters and protective measures. Beamsley Bob swore by two layers of foil under a beanie.

Last word I had was that Mrs Trelliss was shacked up with either Boris of Beamsley Bob. I never got to find out which one. Didn't Boris spend some time in retreat as a monk? Perhaps it was he who was seen in Addingham. A friend of mine who regularly walks up to the Beacon says that the receiver equipment has gone, there is no trace of it.

Probably moved it elsewhere to fool people. Maybe Mrs Trellis is on holiday before she gets really busy!

I suspect the receiver equipment has been replaced by new technology... a new approach of detection may be necessary. Be a lert.
