Got any projects you'd like to share with everyone?
I am currently absorbed in making a quilt. Haven't made a quilt for over two years but my interest was sparked again recently when a friend asked me for some help with a quilt she was making for her daughter.
It is going well, though it won't be finished overnight. It is a very big quilt, destined for the bed in our guest room.
I will keep you up to date with it all...
So! What is everyone else up to then? Show us your current project...

(pic sent to Stanley for posting)

Cut my thumb very deeply today on the cellotape dispenser. Don't ask...
(these things happen to all of us, don't they?)
Upshot is that I had better keep away from my fabric today because I'm bound to spot all over it.

I read the title of this post and it arrived in my head in my mother's voice so my immediate answer would "Nothing Mum , homestly!"

Neighbour Ann called in with one of those magnetic window cleaner things that had dis-assembled itself. My problem was to get the magnets separated from the soft iron strips. They are the most powerful magnets I have ever come across and it needed heavy duty workchop equipment to get them apart!

I bought some paint to  do up some frames, may do them this weekend. Then have to do some pictures to fill them.

C'mon Flutts, you're nearly as bad as me for motivation. I've done no painting since I went on a course in April - just cannot be bothered for various reasons.
Get painting and post the results on here then I'll get me brushes out!! Nolic

Easier said than done Nolic, the hebrewic ritual required to post pics will not stay in my brain cells, just tried again the other day, unsuccessfully...please don't all respond again with how to do it!! I find the instructions quite difficult, hence the lack of success. I post pics into emails and onto face book with no probs whatsoever, so I paint away thinking well one day they will make it as easy as it is on other sites.

I understand how motivation can fail one sometimes. Over the last two years, people kept asking me "Have you made anymore quilts?". No I hadn't...and I had no desire to. I had a huge clearout of sewing paraphenalia before we downsized our home two years ago and everything that remained (some things I just can't part with) are stored in a big cupboard that I hardly ever open. (Have I really had a try at that many hobbies? The cupboard contains painting supplies, sewing stuff, a smocking machine, papercraft supplies...lots of treasured stuff.) If it wasn't for a friend very cunningly asking for help my enthusiasm wouldn't have been awakened. Clever woman that friend of mine!
Get cracking guys...

(it is much easier to email your pics to Stanley Belle. I can't get my head around posting either....)
