Download the entire Lancashire Textile Project for your own personal use or for publishing/Distributing to another web site.

This download is a compressed Zip file and is 25,280Kb in size. The files contained in this zip file (HTML & JPEG) are exactly what appears on this website and are 100% "Web-Ready" for you to publish on your site or to use on your own personal computer.

Simply download the zip file.
For your own use
Unzip the file to your local harddrive in a directory called "c:\LTP"
Double click on "Default.htm" and your browser will load the project.

For publishing onto a website
Unzip the file to your local harddrive where your published web files are ie "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ltp"
either publish the files with your HTML editor to use your FTP program to transfer them to your website.

PLEASE NOTE
All website publishings and further distributions to other 3rd parties are to be the complete works, ie the complete contents of the zip file. (This is to ensure that the project does not get diluted over time). All copyright notices and references are to remain intact - "as is".

COPYRIGHT POSITION

Original materials

All the original LTP tapes, transcripts and spinning picture negatives are Crown Copyright. As such they cannot be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without express permission from Her Majesty’s Stationery Office and the Queen’s Printer. They can be found on the internet.

The materials contained in the LTP Archive CD.

With the exception of 190 pictures relating to the spinning process at Spring Vale Mill, all the materials on the CD are copyright of Stanley Challenger Graham and are his property.

The ‘HMSO Licence’ is at the end of this document. This contains a copy of the licence granted to S C Graham which allows him to digitise and distribute the 190 spinning pictures for educational use. Please read this as it gives precise end-user conditions. These are ‘in-house and personal use world wide’. In effect this means that the pictures can be used in the same way as all the other materials on the CD so long as they are properly credited and no profit is generated.

All other materials on the CD including the three spinning pictures which are not Crown Copyright are given by Stanley Challenger Graham freely to anyone who uses them, without any restriction beyond normal courtesy; the materials should be credited to Stanley Challenger Graham.

Further, I request and encourage copying of the CD and distribution to other institutions, libraries and individuals. This is good prime source material without parallel and deserves the widest distribution.

Most of the answers to queries will be found in the supporting documents on the disc however I am willing to respond to any reasonable requests for more information or advice.
