We had an earthquake here last night, I put the details up on "what attracted your attention TODAY" but it was ignored, maybe here would have been better, getting a bit fed up with the stagnant nature of the site these days...

"....but it was ignored".....I would have replied , but I was with a bunch of ex-VSO reprobates, cut off in a cabin in the Lakes for the last week ( with only two barrels of ale and a whacking great turkey for company...NO INTERNET)...Sorry !

Anyway , the way I heard it , this Earthquake thingy  can't have been "great shakes " (Ha!) because a lot  people were watching tele at the time and didn't even notice.........(am I wrong ?)

We'll soon get these stagnant waters stirred up again , I'm sure !

Earthquake acknowledged. Hope it wasn't just the forerunner to the BIG ONE.

Wall to wall sunshine here. Febby has mowed the lawns and trimmed the edges and I haven't done terribly much at all...(I'm saving my strength for next week when he goes back to work and I get back to routine).
We have done loads and loads of walking lately though, sometimes three times a day. We've even considered a bike ride, but it is a tad too warm for that.

Belle, I've already apolgised for missing your earthquake post. We don't all catch everything. I'm 'ignored' many a time but I don't take it personally.

Glass still falling and we have cold rain. Only bonus is that the wind is from the SW and so temperatures will keep up, no severe cold snap in sight thank God.

Just come in from our cold wet walk round Valley Gardens. It must have rained much heavier than I thought last night. Butts Beck is full and muddy, perhaps the water is running off quicker because the frost is still there in the ground below the surface. Glass is dropping fast, heading towards 'Stormy' and 28.5" Could be a nasty day but sudden drops like this usually mean a short sharp spell of bad weather.

Was showery this morning, but blue skies now. I am glad I am not in Queensland, Oz.

Glass still falling. Looks more like wind and rain than frost here.

Moh was right, clearing skies during the night but glass still falling at 20:00. It's steadied this morning and looks as though it's starting to rise from 28.5" (Stormy). Can't weigh it up, barometric pressure changes like this signal wind and rain to me. Just shows how complicated the weather is. Oh, it's dry and clear with a gentle westerly breeze.

Here it is dull and has been drizzling.  I see more snow if forecast for the South - no doubt bringing the area to a standstill again!!
