Thomas married Unknown.
They had one child:

Sorry that came out a bit funny.
But in the Thornton parish records there is a Thomas Broughton marrying Nancy Pickles 8/2/1827.
Then Thomas is born 27/7/1800 son of Richard Broughton and Margaret Slater
And Richard Broughton and Peggy Slater were married at Thornton 30/1/1800.
There are 3 Richards born 1767, 1769 and 1771 from B'wick Skipton and B'wick

I assume Margaret and Peggy Slater are the same.
Peggy Slater married Richard Broughton at Thornton, 30/1/1800.
Then Margaret and Richard had all the following christened at Thornton;Thomas 27/7/1800, Mary 2/10/1803, Elizabeth 10/2/1805, William 14/6/1807, Richard 17/9/1809, Mary 21/2/1813, Margaret 1/10/1815
Interestingly some of the christening entries in the Thornton parish records include the mother's maiden name, which makes life a little easier.

Hi I am Joanne - Olive Midgley's Granddaughter and have some updated information for the site.
Alice (born in 1864 in Bradford, daugher of Egerton and Mary Bibby) married Harry Sutcliffe.
John Egerton & Annie Mitchell's children should read:-
Edward, Annie, Amy, Alice, Edna, Beatrice Dinah, Frank (had 2 children Margaret and Anthony)
Beatrice Dinah (1887-1966) married John Thomas Ratcliffe (1889-1962)
They had 2 children:
i) Frank (1910-not sure when died 1990s I think). He married Elsie Hargreaves
they had 2 children Martin and Aurelia
ii) Olive (1913 - still alive) She married Walter Midgley (1910-1998)
They had 3 children
a) Keith (1938) married Vivienne Flores and had 3 children
David (1968) married Jane and have 3 children Jacob, Rose and Phoebe
Saskia (1969) married Crispian Riley-Smith and have 3 children Flavia, Allegra,
Henry
Joseph (1973)
b) Philip (1941) married Edna Greenwood and had 2 children
Matthew
Jennifer married Darren Bourne and have 1 child Matilda
c) Dinah (1943) married John Laxton (1937) and had 3 children
ME Joanne (1968) married Thomas Robertshaw (1968) & have 2 children James, Lucy
James (1970) married Jayne Gray (1969) & have 2 children Daisy, Olly

One of my ancestors was Ann Broughton b c1800, she married Thomas Atkinson 16 Mar 1829 at Barnoldswick.
Thier son William Parkinson Atkinson wrote the history of Old Barlick (transcribed by Stanley) which can be found elsewhere on this site.
WPA mentions his uncles James Dugdale & George Livsey - both of whom married Broughtons who must have been my Ann's sisters (Eleanor & Margaret respectively) Eleanor & George having married post 1837 I have just sent for their marriage cert so once get it & fine the fathers name I hope to be able to link up to some of you Broughtons on here.

Jill, the Ann you write about is on rootsweb on Mark Trickett's family tree. He has some generations before that which i think go back to our common ancestor, Richard Broughton who was churchwarden at Gill in 1695.
