As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

after my hospital appointment tomorrow i am going to be hypnotised, hopefully he will give me back some confidence as at the moment i feel like chucking in the towel. which isnt normally like me but im just sooo low with it all. so mums trying to cover all the angles to help me do well next week. as i am i dont even want to go which is terrible as so many would love the chance to go. eerrgghhhhh

Beautiful, your dogs always have that look in their eye, waiting for their name to be called, to jump up and run to someone! Poor you going through this slough of despondancy...I can't tell you how many talented people i have seen give up on themsleves...have patience with yourself, and your body, give yourself the same consideration you would a good friend..hope the hypnotism helps, and your self belief comes back..it's only a blip on your otherwise wonderful horizon...you'll be ok!

Bloody hell! Why are you worrying about chucking a lump of wood and metal in a field when you have the advantages you have in other fields? Regard it as a bit of fun instead of being so serious about it. Remember that the body never lies, if it is hurting you take notice!!! If you burned your fingers on a hotplate you'd soon realise the best thing to do was leave it alone. Sorry, but you have the rest of your life in front of you so don't start with dodgy hips! It's a no-brainer Conor! Do your trainers and coaches see you as a rounded human being and care about Conor, or a path to enhancing their own reputations? I'm not saying they are but it's worth asking the question. I worry about you...

thankyou stanley but please dont worry, its only because of my very fast growth, though i do have to have a mri scan and xray in a few weeks but they assure me i do not need an operation. the hypnotist was brilliant and i feel on top of the world, calm and relaxed and more confident im going again next thursday just before i travel with the team to birmingham for 3 days.
its really hard to think of my throwing as just fun, as its soooo much more than that. its my dream to throw for my country one day. if it doesnt happen well i guess it wont but it wont be through lack of trying. but i want to be happy getting there too. thats why i felt like throwing in the towel as i was unhappy with how things were going
