Someone posted a link a while ago to a genealogy message board or forum that they had found useful. I think it was mentioned that the turnaround for answering queries was really quite quick. They also have images on it. I thought it was Rootschat but I cannot find images on there so perhaps not.
I have a feeling it might have been Frank who posted the link.

Rootschat is very quick, they all answer - the only trouble on there, the minute you go on they all want to say Hello and it can take a few minutes of being polite before you can put your question to them.

Hi Mel - it might have been me as well as Frank. I have used Rootchat a lot but agree with Moh that it can take an age to say hello to everybody!!!
There are images on that site - I have used it for illegible handwriting identification on GRO certificates and census records. Also good for dating photos and identification of soldier's uniforms from pics.

What I'm finding frustrating is that I submitted a picture to the site but cannot for the life of me remember what the site was!! I've checked my email inbox for confirmation of joining but no luck there.

Frustrating is an understatement! I can remember thinking it wasn't the most straight forward site to use although it's a good resource. It seemed a bit all over the place. Arrghhh. Frank, put me out of my misery...was it you? I'm sure it came from here.
