while on the subject of boats im cutting one up at cammell laird ship yard in birkenhead its 103 years old an old floating dock door it has an old steam boiler on board its in the wet pool so work as been tidal 4 am starts ,beltin the water in the dock can only be drained to certain levels because the wall between us and river mersey moves due to the weight of water ,,,

Swifty, ironic isn't it. Think of the number of ships built there, now we are scrapping them! Death of an industry....

yes youre right stanley it is crazy what goes around ,, bodger as an apprentice driver i was told there was two types of drivers ,,,, and youve picked them both up screwdrivers ,,,and good drivers without being to big headed im not to bad ,,,ha ha the machine on the brick stack is a little larger than my cat only a couple of meters,,, i love high reaches but its not the best for cutting ships up in the pool working 40 foot below the tracks aint for the faint hearted ,,,

This is what was the office building and pattern store , the rest of the site has largely been built over , but I have been invited to explore .....The owners children are our piano and guitar pupils !
