I agree it is way too quiet on here just lately....but we have been thru these quiet times before and it will be buzzing again soon. I generally find that when your winter sets in, you lot tend to gather at your computers and chat more. (especially if your computers are located close to your heaters!)

It's perfectly understandable that things go quiet on OG over your summer, most of you are out enjoying the weather and different activities associated with same. I just hope that a lot of the female members will soon start to interact again on OG.

Is anyone elso off put by the increase of topic titles on the front page? when there were fewer I felt more inclined to dip in and see what they were about, now there are so many and a few of them seem to have very similar content I find myself disinclined to bother with most of them.

Not me Belle...... The more the merrier. I never look at the topics on the home page. I go to forums and look at one day. That pops up all the topics replied to in last 24 hours.

I do the same Stanley - there seem to get fewer active topics and fewer active members - most of which are not from Barlick - where are all the Barlickers?? The regular ones we had now only 'pop' in occasionally.

An old friend of mine, exactly two years younger to the date, not seen him for 40+ years. Like myself, a true Barlicker.

Moh, it's in the nature of things for there to be change. The topics come and go and there is a hard core of participants but the greatest activity on the site is unseen, the 30,000+ that access the site each day for various reasons. They are coming because of what has been indexed by the search engines and that of course is what has been put up in the topics. Personally I love the fact that I can meet that hard core every day, I log on to Cath and Maz every morning!

...and we aint the most thrilling people alive!... We are just like everyone else though and have to get our daily dose of OG. Even the mundane is of interest to us. I have to ignore topics about local political issues etc, that are just so 'local' that I cannot relate to them. Sometimes most of the current topics are so localised that that is me out as far as responding. But there are lots of other stuff to get my teeth in to. If not, I come back tomorrow!

Oh Stanley, how sweet. I log in every day to see how you are doing and what you're up to as well. Oh ... and Frank, Tiser, Moh, Sue, Belle (I hear an echo here, where are you Belle?) and Gloria, and Nolic (ofcourse) and many many more (ha ha). It's just a matter of hanging in there (well here actually). There's nothing else like OG, not that I've looked - but why would I?
