Sunny here on and off, warm enough to sit out. Just an occasional dark cloud pops over. Alll in all---not a bad day.

Sunny but quite cool today. I refuse to put the heater on during the day when I am the only one home...well...not before early evening anyway ('cos I am such a skinflint). So I have put a jacket, thick socks and furry slippers on to sit and do some Family Tree stuff. (feet and fingers like blocks of ice! Backside quickly following suit!). Heard lots of strong wind and heavy rain during the night...at one point the wind was whistling through the roof. Adelaide airport closed again this morning due to the Ash Cloud from Chile. I have been searching the sky all morning for signs of it, but I am blowed if I can see anything even faintly resembling an Ash Cloud.
My Oranges look almost fully ripened, but I read that the longer I leave them on the tree, the sweeter they will be. (so we shall do that). I might pick one next week just to test. All in all, not a bad day, but could be warmer.
get your people to phone my people and we will do lunch...MAZ |

About 35,000 homes had damage from the storm last night, 10,000 homes were without power. Thats what the news said anyway. Coming home tonight I noticed a very dusty and large cloud, don't know if it was an ash cloud. Airport closed. Adelaide is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Oh dear. We have 14C and showers for Wednesday. Marilyn, you should buy some of those gloves that don't have fingertips. They should keep you tapping on the keyboard.

Had crazy weather here in Scarborough today. One minute, dark clouds and heavy rain, the next, clear skies and bright sunshine! If we had got one of those Bavarian style 'weather clocks' where one figure pops out for rain and a another one for dry, it would have looked as though they were doing the Hokey Kokey!

Ha Ha Sandy... I once taught the Hokey Kokey to some Schwabish people (sort of next door to Bavaria)....I admit Strong drink was involved !
That would have been in about 1975.......And you NEVER know there might be "proffi" competitions going on as we speak.....(they took it all very seriously indeed ) ....!
......Avoid Goeppingen for the time being !
