As there are a number of artists among our midst, I thought I would start a topic for watercolour painting.

I can't see your pictures Belle and Blokman.
I threw all my paste drawings away when we redcorated the study. They took up so much space and at the time I thought I would never take up Art again. All mine were life studies and I found the effect was very good. I may have another go as i have an unused box of pastels in the cupboard. I would imagine that they are also good for doing walls and buildings

Nah you need emulsion for that...sorry couldn't resist it! I see my brief success at posting pics was short lived...back to the drawing board! (eh I'm sharp this morning!)

No sorry , can't see your picture, or in the new pictures section can anyone help
Sue
PS I have statred a file of things/scenery \i would like to paint or draw. Can anyone recommend a really good drawing book that starts form scratch( sorry) right up to masterpieces. I thought I could manage drawinf lying on the setee. I have bought some pencils and I already had some charcoals.
Well must go and have my shower, and then phone my sister to say we will brave the journey to Burnley, rather than her from Liverpool. I see Barlick made it on the local news last night because of the weather ( or was it the night before. These drugs play havoc with my memory and my typing ) Sue

Thanks Tom, you definitely have the knack with these pics...Sue, paint all you can in the next 24 hours...no, just joking! you seemed to be doing a great job before the morphine so I am sure it's not drug enhanced Art we are seeing!

They are truelly good, a lot better than my first attempts. Apart from houses I keep clear of buildings. I like the first one the best, I find it tranquil Sue

Belle at the moment I am using drug impregnated cutaneous plasters , which I stick across the affested area to relieve the pain. Now if anyone has any idea where I put the paint brush as the plasters go neatly across both buttocks!!!!!!!!! I say no more
