Roast chicken last night, steak pie tonight, and tomorrow my grandson and his wife are coming for dinner so I have got a lovely piece of brisket for a pot roast.

Sausage, beans and chips. 4 mutton chops defrosting in the fridge. But I might fancy fish and chips.... Decisions, decisions!

Five adults plus small grandchild for tea tonight. I have a large portion of a local pig roasting in the oven, will be comlimented by all the usual trimmings, apple sauce, roasts, mash, veg, yorkshire puds and yummy gravy from the juices etc..
Isla likes my yorkshire puds and is a good all round eater between sprouting extra teeth. We will have homemade rhubarb pie for afters with cream, if anyone has room.

Did roast and mashed potatoes, carrot & swede, creamed leeks and yorkshire puddings with the beef. Raspberry pavlove for afters. (I only ever do yorkshires with beef).

Moh I agree with you regarding Yorkshires, they were only ever served with beef in our house. I am going to try and lose weight in an attempt to ease the strain n my back. In the past I have tried calorie counting, low fat diets, low carbohydrate diets, high fibre diets, fad diets, fasting, eshewing sugar and all it's spinoffs for a year, and Ian Mackellers hypnosis, all have failed, or succeeded for a short time then the weight has gone back on. The specialsit who saw me for my hormone condition said "you won't be able to lose weight in any of the conventional ways" and recommnended Metaformin...but don't fancy that path yet..so i am going to try eating normal meals but have my tea at lunch time and stop eating by 5. I am told this works wonders. we shall see!

Belle get a smaller plate and fill up with fruit if you still need a nibble.
Getting to the end of the yew-fed Trawden sheep. I shall have to have a word with Stewart.

"Belle get a smaller plate" That's quite novel - suggesting that eating less causes weight loss! I'm trying it myself at the moment. Hard work.

Stanley, it's not like you to make such fatuous remarks, having read the list of things I have done to lose weight, you surely didn't think I hadn't thought of that! Duh!
