I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic. However..... have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Cilly night for July; 8C but things are looking up. Clear sky this morning with an almost full moon fairly high up in the West showing in full daylight. Forecast is for a high to come in from the south with light winds and temperatures will rise through the week. We could finally get a spell of summer weather. Glass is higher than it's been for weeks and rising strongly. Yippee!

I noticed last night that the wind was still from the NW. Today it is cloudy and a slight dampening of the slates but improving now. The wind is forecast to come in from the SW so this will raise temperatures. If we get some sun we will have warmest days of the summer so far. Shirt sleeves walk to Letcliffe yesterday and could be the same today. Glass is steady if not a slight rise.

I wrap myself up in my big pink blanket (dressing gown), oh yes and two pair of socks - it's a great look :). This is our first winter without a heater. Even my daughter has bought her 'first ever' dressing gown this winter, we've never needed them before. Brrrr

9C in Barlick at 04:30 with a grey overcast and no wind. Could damp a bit later I think but not bad weather. Glass is high and steady and it all dependes on how the cloud burns off. Being on the cusp between Lancs and Yorks and at 500-1000 feet means that we get our own climate. Not going to be blazing summer...... (a slow hay day)
