As you may know the new Rainhall Centre is due to open on the 13 July. Within the building there is going to be a community cinema facility. I am a member of the group of local people who are working to get the cinema off the ground and we would be interested to hear from locals and visitors with their ideas, comments and suggestions regarding local cinema provision.
We'd specifically like to hear from anyone interested in becoming involved, or who just have ideas for films they'd like to see. We are hoping it will run along similar lines to the Clitheroe "Stage and Screen".

Penda's Fen does sound like a great contender! And i loved Abigails Party too, i think we're on a roll here! I used to live in Grassington (18 months ago) and it was a regular occurence to see class loads of kids walking from Grassington to Threshfield for swimming sessions and cluster stuff - i know what you mean re. risk assessments but i think it's worth a go! We just need to build up a team of willing volunteers to get it off the ground. Will post more info when i know more. But im so pleased that this topic has generated such positive responses. Do let me know if you are interested in being involved.
