Rob,i like the shadows cast on the roofs of the terraced houses from the chimney stacks and the reflections on the water,excellent painting..

Cheers Tom, water is getting easier to paint, its just keeping in mind that its a simple reflection of the sky colours, its just clicked

Yes Rob I am on the mend.However I feel so good I have to be careful not to do too much. I had a splendid walk today, about one and a half miles and loved every minute of it I start rehab physio this week and hope to start coming off the painkillers Sue

That is excellent news, Sue, absolutely spot on with regards not doing too much, your body is telling you to go for it, but you regret it the next day!! Take it nice and easy.......;

Well,the bridge wouldnt collapse under the weight,theres only about 8 people that contribute on SC these days,we're even outnumbered by Barlickers these days,hehe,(Tom runs away and takes cover)...

Well, it is such an awful day here in Rossendale that I am settling down to paint.... An old wollen mill in the vicinity of Hardcastle Crags, should be interesting.

Right, here is my pencil sketch, I am using bockingford, 140lb not paper, about 15"x11", a bit big to scan so there are parts of the image missing.

I have done the sky, and started blocking in the Autumnal colours for the background trees.. Slight pigs foot with the sky, but hopefully won't look too bad when dry!!

I have got some more wash on now, on the packhorse bridge and on the cottage. I have also put a bit more detail on the wooded area.
