As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

thanks flutterby yeah stanleys pencils are doing the job, looks like i might have time to do some more drawing tomorrow, the snow is really bad tonight, i think school will be closed tomorrow.
weve had a bit of a panic, we have a newfoundland dog and she was bad yesterday, mum diagnosed her as having a twisted gut and wasted no time in rushing her to the vet, she was opperated on in just over an hour of her first symptom, which the vet said saved her life, it was horrrible taking her to the animal hospital, i felt sick in the car but after a long opperation shes still with us but i cant believe how much it cost £1400 perhaps i should be a vet!!! LOL

Small animal vets are no longer a low-paid profession. Well done your mum for diagnosing a twisted gut so quickly, not easy and a lot of vets would have missed it. Glad the pencils are cutting the mustard! Get drawing!

£1400! Perhaps I could be a small animal vet? I'm only 5 foot six inches - will I qualify?

I love the tiny damp hairs around the mouth, what a stickler for detail you are Conty and yet you always manage to get the whole looking right as well.

Conor, we wouldn't judge the quality of your drawing only by how much it looks like the photo. If we never saw the photo we would think it was great already!

You obviously have more talent in your little finger than any of us Conty - well done. You will never be short of work.
