We have decided that I'm going to making the fabric stuff for this new house we've bought, only trouble is I don't own a sewing machine and I haven't threaded a needle since junior school.

Can anyone recommend a sewing machine make and model that is suitable for a beginner. I don't want anything fancy, just something that is going to be easy to load and easy to use for making curtains and the like.

I am on an advanced learning course for Stoke and its shops though, just in case you need a new butler/driver at some time.

I do most of my shopping online so you'd soon be redundant!

Mel,

You're obviously a very modern lass - do you also do your grocery shopping on line?

Do they sell ready made cutains on line too?

I'm sure I could find ready made curtains online.

I don't grocery shop online. I like to see what I'm buying and don't limit myself to a supermarket. Imindoors used to when he lived alone, he hates shopping with an unbelievable passion!
