I have just been informed about a great site listing details of casualties, survivors etc. in the 1814/1818 war from Burnley if it is of interest to anyone seeking ancestors.

Moh, I assume you mean 1914/18, a bit of a typo there. Should be a good resource for anyone needing the info. I don't have any ancestral connections Burnley way during that period, all mine are from t'other way.

http://burnleyinthegreatwar.info/ is a site I looked out quite a while ago but having revisited it this last week, I was pleasantly surprised at how it has progressed. I have contacted them but no reply yet. Someone did warn me that they are slow to respond.

Yes sorry 1914/1918 - I am so used to my family tree people living in the 1800s and typing those dates (another senior moment!!)
