I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Snowing up here, about an inch on the ground, but it is wet so don't think it will hang around. What I did notice when I went for the papers was that the snow is of the texture to make great snowballs. Just like it was in the 50s

A lovely sunny day here earlier on with a covering of snow which has all but gone now - and the sky is clouding over.

Early snow vanished, sharp shower of snow around 14:00.  Cold.  Glass is high but dropping, rain coming in from the West?

Snowed overnight, bright morning with blue skys that clouded over and snowed, rained, hailed, sleeted then got bright again. Sort of everything today really. Bright and mild now, sort of Spring like but without the wet stuff and the windy stuff.

Overnight dusting, frost and cold....  Still wintry.  Glass is falling slowly.

Still a biting wind and the earlier sun has been clouded over.

Dry, no wind to speak of and glass steady.  No frost and it looks as though the weather gods have convened a meeting to decide what to give us next.  What the old Barlickers would call a 'brewing day'.  Personally I'm optimistic, the days are longer, the buds are sprouting on the trees and I have a suspicion the swifts might have returned.  Not long before we get a warm up.......

Cathy, You can have some of our rain, swop you for a little of your temperature. Cold miserable day up here, just been out and the rain is quite thick.
